What’s the difference between the IWFM and Facilitate websites?

The Facilitate website is the online magazine for the IWFM and contains news and views from the wider workplace and facilities management sector. The IWFM website is a resource of institute-related news and knowledge.

 

Is all the website content freely available?

No. The content from the most recent issues of the magazine and the most current news stories, plus the job advertisements, are freely available but the archive is only available to IWFM members, as part of their membership package, and Facilitate subscribers.

 

Is all the content from Facilitate Magazine on the Facilitate website?

IWFM members and Facilitate subscribers can access the full magazine via the IWFM site. Non-subscribers and non-members can view a taster edition of the magazine online. But there is far more on the website than we can fit in the magazine: each day we write at least five articles about what’s happening in the workplace and facilities management sector. There are also more jobs online than in the hard copy of the magazine.

 

How can I submit an article idea to Facilitate?

We write news and features in-house and employ freelance journalists and experts in the field. If you have an idea for a feature, please send a synopsis of 100-200 words to us at editorial@facilitatemagazine.com or call 020 7880 6229. It should outline very briefly what the main idea is and what might be included in the feature. There are also opportunities to write short viewpoint pieces, practical explainer articles and legal updates. We will look at your suggestion and let you know quickly whether we want to take it forward. We also welcome letters about articles in FM World or the wider world. In addition to the magazine, Facilitate publishes a daily email news service – the Facilitate Daily – which includes all the latest essential news about the workplace and facilities management sector including new business wins, mergers and acquisitions, financial results, market research, legislative updates and event reports. Does the IWFM approve the content of Facilitate?

No. Although Facilitate is the magazine of the IWFM, the bulk of the editorial is completely independent. The IWFM supplies the copy for the IWFM pages which contains information about regional or group events.


How can I get a report of my BIFM regional, Sig or Sector Forum event in the magazine and website?

I’d like to invite Facilitate to an industry event. Who should I contact?

Do you publish new product or service launches?

As the IWFM’s publication, we do not overtly publicise one particular product or organisation but we do accept advertising for new products or services. Please contact Josh Hannagan at josh.hannagan@redactive.co.uk or call 020 7880 6220.

 

How many readers do you have?

Our latest ABC revealed that we have a circulation of 14,996. Our 2015 Readership Research showed that each copy is read by 2.5 people giving us a total readership of more than 33,000.

 

How can I find out about advertising rates and place an advert in the magazine?

You can download a media pack from this website which sets out the latest rates – see the Contact Us section. Corporate members of the BIFM are entitled to special rates. For further details please contact Josh Hannagan at josh.hannagan@redactive.co.uk or call 020 7880 6220.

How can I get free copies of Facilitate at my industry event?

If you are organising an IWIFM regional, Sig or Sector Forum event, then you are entitled to have free copies of the magazine at the event. Please contact editorial@facilitatemagazine.com or call 020 7880 6229 giving as much notice as possible. If you are interested in Facilitate being a media partner to your event, contact Martin Read at martin.read@facilitatemagazine.com

 

Do you have a Forward Features List?

We currently do not publish a forward features list. However, we are always open to suggestions on subjects to cover. If you have an idea, get in touch by emailing the editorial team at editorial@facilitatemagazine.com

 

I’m not a member of the IWFM, can I still receive Facilitate?

Yes, non-members can subscribe to the magazine. For readers in the UK, a 12 month (12 issues) subscription costs £110; for readers outside the UK, a 12 month (12 issues) subscription cost £130. How can I become a member of the IWFM and what are the benefits?
