Lovell lands £14m repairs deal

5 March 2013

Repairs and maintenance contractor Lovell has secured a £14 million deal with Wandle Housing Association in South London.

Lovell will provide repairs services for the association’s stock of about 6,000 homes under the two-year contract.

The contractor will refurbish void properties for Wandle, as well as handling day-to-day repairs and major works. It will also deliver a 24-hour reactive repairs service.

Starting in April 2013, the deal was awarded through a competitive tendering process.

Gary Bellenger, head of asset investment at Wandle, said: “We believe we have secured a cost-effective deal that will offer a great quality and flexible service to our residents.

“It’s important for us to work with partners that can add value in other ways so we’re really pleased the contract will enable us to engineer possible work opportunities for our residents and for people living in the areas in which we operate.”

Simon Medler, managing director for Lovell Repairs & Maintenance, added: “We look forward to working closely with residents and Wandle in true partnership to provide a customer-focused repairs service of a very high standard.”
