Ryhurst wins another trust joint-venture deal

23 July 2013

Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (CWP) has selected Ryhurst as preferred bidder for a comprehensive range of FM services.

Over the next month, the trust and Ryhurst – which won over four competitors - will set up a 15-year 50:50 joint venture partnership to deliver FM.

Sheena Cumiskey, CWP chief executive, said the joint venture will ensure CWP’s estate is maximised to support clinical services.

Stephen Collinson, managing director of Ryhurst, said the new business will offer better value for money for taxpayers.
The estates strategy will include reviewing current use of existing facilities with an eye toward boosting asset efficiency and surplus asset disposal as well as exploiting estates and commercial opportunities.

The partnership will last for an initial 15 year period, with an option to extend for a further five years.

For over a decade, Ryhurst has specialised in and asset solutions for the health and social care markets. It has moved away from a focus on the private finance initiative (PFI) to provide the full property management and development services.

In 2010, Lancashire Care NHS Foundation Trust entered into a whole estates partnership with Ryhurst to design, build, finance and operate new facilities and manage the trust’s property portfolio across over 700 sites.
