Spinning Gate security staff have a new branded uniform

10 July 2018 | Herpreet Kaur Grewal

Security firm ExcluSec Security, part of The ExcluSec Group based in Trafford Park, Manchester, has been appointed to provide services at the Spinning Gate Shopping Centre in Leigh.

Spinning Gate Shopping Centre hosts 40 units within 110,000 square feet of retail space in Leigh Town Centre.

The centre has good access to the motorway network with close links to the M6. It has a flat surface on-site car park for 300 cars (operated by Wigan Council) and the town’s bus station, which has direct links into Manchester City Centre, adjoins the shopping centre.

The centre is owned by Atmore Group Ltd, which appointed Legat Owen as managing agent for the scheme.

ExcluSec Security now provides the centre with 10,000 security hours annually, managing the security of four million shoppers a year.

The centre’s SIA-licensed security officers have transferred to ExcluSec Security under TUPE rules, and will undergo comprehensive training and development programmes.  The centre team has also launched a new security uniform, dual branded with ExcluSec and Spinning Gate Shopping Centre.

ExcluSec Security is a privately owned security provider founded in 2010, and offers a portfolio of services including event security and stewarding, security guards, commercial and residential key holding, mobile security patrols, vacant property services, traveller evictions, concierge services, and dog handlers across the North West and other areas of the UK.
