Security and FM services company Kingdom has acquired the manned guarding, mobile, key holding and response contracts of Keyline Chartered Security.

Wiltshire-based Keyline has been providing security personnel to high-profile customers throughout the UK since it was awarded its first security contract in 1977.

Kingdom said the Keyline acquisition continued the company’s expansion plans.

Kingdom’s chief executive Terry Barton said: “Strategic acquisitions have always formed part of our growth strategy and Keyline was an opportunity to further strengthen our UK security foothold as well as strengthening our sectors such as the NHS and distribution.”

Kingdom acquired Lincolnshire-based national cleaning services provider Superclean Services Wothorpe last September.

Kingdom specialises in security solutions, facilities management, environmental protection and recruitment in the UK, Ireland and South Asia. It now employs more than 6,000 staff and operates on a turnover of £106 million.
