PROPERTY GRADUATES HIGH ON SALARY SCALE

The property industry offers the third-highest average salary for graduate roles, according to research from jobs site CV Library. 

 

The findings, which analysed thousands of live job vacancies on the CV Library site, found that that secured graduate roles in property could earn over £24,000.


The salary was "far higher than many other sectors", the company said. The top 10 industries for graduate pay are:


1 IT - £25,518.56

2 Engineering - £24,785.71

3 Property - £24,382.35

4 Consultancy - £24,250.00

5 Sales - £23,117.19

6 Marketing - £22,145.26

7 Finance - £21,916.67

8 Customer Service - £21,583.33

9 Recruitment - £20,341.46

10 Education - £18,907.69


Lee Biggins, founder and CEO of CV-Library, said: “It’s no surprise that the most skilled and technical industries command the highest salaries, especially for new graduates.” He added that positions such as quantity surveyors are “hotly contested, with a bunch of university leavers flocking to them”.
