
ABM has been awarded a contract by Cignpost ExpressTest to fulfil resourcing needs at COVID-19 testing sites at Heathrow, Gatwick and Edinburgh airports, and retail sites across the UK.
The aviation services provider will supply over 1500 team members, of which 1000 will be based at London Heathrow, with others located at Gatwick and Edinburgh airports and shopping centres in Glasgow, Aberdeen and Newcastle.
ABM will also provide Cignpost with training facilities and a shuttle bus to transport staff into the terminal for training.
At the new warehouse located at Heathrow, ABM will store testing equipment which can be distributed into the airport and to a new drive through testing operation at the Terminal 4 long stay.
Its team will carry out swab tests, car park marshalling and on-site administration, which includes checking samples are collected correctly and sent to laboratories efficiently and safely.
The contract will also include some office-based roles, which oversee the Fit to Fly certification process.
