CBRE Global Workplace Solutions (GWS) has renewed its technical maintenance and facilities management contract with banking and financial services company BBVA.
Bilbao-based BBVA has retained the real estate consultant to manage its corporate buildings and retail branches across Spain (central, south and Canary Islands) and Portugal. CBRE will be responsible for ensuring the optimal operation of 745,163 square metres of BBVA's portfolio in the Iberian Peninsula.
BBVA and CBRE have had a contractual relationship for more than eight years.
Alongside current tasks – maintenance, cleaning, gardening, pest control, confidential document destruction, planned waste management, energy management and environmental consultancy – CBRE will be expanding its services to manage BBVA’s historical assets, logistics and support services, assistance and maintenance of closed premises, phone switchboard, front-of-house, event management and mailroom services.
Vicente Redondo, country managing director, CBRE GWS Spain and Portugal, said: “We are proud to continue our successful 14-year relationship with BBVA. Their commitment to digitalisation and sustainability aligns with CBRE’s capabilities and we look forward to continuing partnering with BBVA on the deployment of innovative FM solutions that will help them achieve exceptional outcomes.”
