
Cloudfm has been appointed to supply FM services to Chiltern Railways’ network – helping key workers get to their workplaces.
Cloudfm will manage planned and reactive maintenance of the rail network.
Despite the challenges caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, Cloudfm and Chiltern Railways have been working closely over the past two months, making use of videoconferencing technology to guarantee a smooth mobilisation.
The new partnership, which began on 20th April, sees Cloudfm working with Chiltern Railways to maintain more than 40 sites including stations, depots and offices. Chiltern Railways services run from London Marylebone to Aylesbury, Birmingham Snow Hill, Kidderminster, Oxford, and Stratford-upon-Avon.
Alan Riley, customer services director at Chiltern Railways, said: “We are really excited to be working with the team at Cloudfm for all our facilities maintenance works across our network. At Chiltern Railways we are always looking to provide an excellent customer experience and ensuring that our facilities are maintained to the highest standards plays a key role in this.”
Jeff Dewing, CEO of Cloudfm, said in these unprecedented circumstances “new methods of facilities management are essential to ensuring the railways can continue to operate safely and so key workers can get to work”.
Chiltern Railways is part of the Arriva Group, one of the biggest providers of passenger transport in Europe.
