Mrs Buckét, a specialist commercial cleaning firm operating across Wales and south-west England, has been deployed at Royal Mail’s Swansea and Cardiff depots, working non-stop to keep the area clean.
This is the business’s first 24/7 contract, and marks an important milestone for the company’s growth plans. It provides professional commercial cleaning services to a range of industries, with 250 employees serving more than 150 commercial premises daily.
When lockdown began, Royal Mail reassessed the heightened need for round-the-clock in-depth cleaning and sanitation – a crucial addition to daily life to keep both postal workers and the general public safe.
This deal follows the launch of Mrs Buckét’s Covid-19 Rapid Response team, a decontamination service specially designed to sanitise buildings that have had confirmed or suspected cases of coronavirus. This new offering has already had significant pick-up in the area, said the company, with several public services opting for specialist decontamination.
Rachael Flanagan, Mrs Buckét founder, said: “Covid-19 has created a need to drastically change how we work, not just our business but the cleaning industry as a whole. By offering around-the-clock service, we can ensure that businesses that are in constant need of deep cleaning or sanitation can be catered for any time of the day or night. Our main priority is the safety of the people we work for and their wider communities, and for the likes of Royal Mail, this is of key importance.”
“As we get closer to the end of lockdown, with many businesses planning on their re-entry into the workplace, cleanliness, hygiene and sanitation will be of utmost importance to reduce the risk of a second wave of Covid-19 and put preventable measures into place to avoid other sicknesses amongst staff. A 24/7 service will allow businesses to be able to pick and choose times of cleaning or decontamination that suits them and doesn’t interrupt business operations.”
