FM provider Apleona has extended its cleaning and waste management contract at science research campus Colworth Park in Bedfordshire.
It will continue to supply cleaning, waste management, facilities support, gym services, logistics and mail services, space planning, printing and reprographics, security, mechanical and electrical, refrigeration services, building fabric and project works, as well as pest control.
Apleona uses technology to improve security infrastructure and is installing a high-efficiency heat reclaim air conditioning system and integrated energy management system that tracks, flags and identifies energy sources to improve efficiency and productivity at the site.
The service provider is also looking at replacing chemical-based cleaning products with electrolysed water sanitising practices.
Jacqui Paice, managing director at Apleona UK & IRL, said: “It is wonderful news that Colworth Park have extended their contract with us. We have worked hard during the last three years to understand their needs, and overcome challenges to meet these. We are looking forward to seeing what the next two bring.”
