Pierre Cheyron has been appointed managing director of Engie’s Global Business Line Client Solutions from 1st September.
The division is a global leader in low-carbon energy and services and aims to accelerate the transition towards a carbon-neutral world through reduced energy consumption and environmentally friendly solutions.
Cheyron will report to Olivier Biancarelli, group executive vice-president. He replaces Jean-Pascal de Peretti.
He holds a master’s degree in digital, energy and environment from the IMT Atlantique university in France, and has held various management positions at Alcatel-Lucent in Asia and Europe before joining Engie in 2011 as CEO of Cofely Southeast Asia.
He later oversaw all Engie's Asia-Pacific services activities from 2015 to 2018, before becoming managing director of Engie Southeast Asia – one of the largest independent power producers in the world and a leader in energy efficiency services.
Cheyron was also president of the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia from 2011 to 2015. He is currently a member of the board with the French Chamber of Commerce in Singapore.
At Global Business Line Client Solutions, his main role will be to continue to accelerate Engie’s vision of transitioning to a low-carbon economy by offering sustainable, decarbonised solutions to key clients in the industries, properties, cities and communities markets.
