Mears Group begins its extended repairs response and void refurbishment contract for Hammersmith and Fulham Council this week.
The company said the deal builds on the strong relationship the parties have established over the past 12 months, during which the company gave interim support while the local authority procured its long-term service.
Mears currently provides services in the north of the borough and will extend service repairs delivery in the south.
The company said it has a set of firm guidelines to work to during recovery from the pandemic and assures all residents that it would carefully resume works in line with government guidance and procedures agreed with the client.
Colin Middlemass, chief operating officer, said: “We are committed to providing a great service to residents. The pandemic means that we start this contract in a challenging environment, with the added task of demobilising one area and remobilising another. We are confident that, as a result of the foundations we have laid over the last 12 months, and by continuing to work together, we will ensure that repairs are carried out… in line with all relevant guidance. We look forward to welcoming our new colleagues from the imminent TUPE transfer and, working in partnership, we hope to continue to build on our relationship.”
