Imtech Inviron team of site-based engineers will take over these services, engaging as a strategic partner to drive service delivery and cost performance enhancements.
Noel Clancy, managing director of Imtech, said: “Our presence at Portsmouth allows their aerospace operation team to focus on their core business.
“Our aerospace industry knowledge, coupled with our track record of consistently delivering the basics brilliantly, meant this was a logical next step in our partnership with GKN.”
Mike Hunnisett, GKN Aerospace‘s head of facilities and maintenance, added: “This is the first site in which GKN on top of their usual FM services outsourcing, have displayed their confidence in allowing Imtech Inviron to also maintain their manufacturing equipment. This really enables GKN to focus on our core operations and the assembly of critical aerospace components.”
