Testing, inspection and certification company Socotec's asbestos team has been awarded positions on two national public sector framework agreements.
The first will see Socotec provide asbestos management services via the NHS Shared Business Services framework, a joint venture which is structured to provide a more efficient method of supplying business services to NHS trusts.
As part of the two-year agreement, Socotec will support framework members with the management of asbestos at NHS properties across England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
To qualify for the framework agreement, Socotec was assessed on a criteria, including confidentiality, service standards, staffing, recruitment, contract management, continuous improvement and social value.
The second position is for two years on a framework with South East Consortium, a not-for-profit organisation delivering efficiency savings to public sector organisations including social housing providers, local authorities and education and health-related institutions.
Socotec's asbestos team will provide asbestos management, inspection, refurbishment, demolition and re-inspection services, as well as air monitoring.
