Facilities services provider Aston Services Group (ASG) has won a contract to supply cleaning and security at Edmonton Green Shopping Centre.

This retail centre, owned by Crosstree Real Estate, sits inside the M25 in North London and is currently undergoing a programme of refurbishment, redevelopment and rebranding.

ASG was awarded the contract by property management company Ashdown Phillips. The centre contains more than 150 retail units, 1,000 car parking spaces, a market square and a mix of single and departmental stores covering 26 acres.

Marie Kyriacou-Edwards, operations manager at Edmonton Green, said: “The fact that ASG provides both cleaning and security under one roof promotes a ‘joined-up’ way of thinking and I believe ASG’s input will be vital in the successful evolvement of Edmonton Green and it’s reinforcement as the hub of the community.”

Alistair Clayton, ASG’s sales and marketing director, said: “This is a pivotal award for ASG as we look to further cement our presence in the South East as part of our organic growth nationally. The highly committed and proud team at Edmonton Green number over 60 and the changes that we are introducing are a really good fit with Ashdown Phillips’ own forward-thinking approach to managing the centre and providing the very best customer experience possible.

“We have implemented a number of initiatives including new uniforms for the team in line with the centre rebranding, significant six-figure investment into new fit-for-purpose capital equipment, improved electronic patrol systems and a fresh, much more hands-on approach to team management as we have brought both services lines together under a ‘one team’ ethos and approach.’’
