One of the four Covid-19 Response Award groupings from which IWFM members and Facilitate readers will select a winner is entitled ‘On The COVID Frontline’.
The five shortlisted entries in this particular grouping show how workplace and facilities teams managed critical acts of creation or keeping a building, asset or people safe, secure and operational during the lockdown.

The entry: Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust
The story: A transition was managed from an outsourced service (catering, cleaning and portering) whilst dealing with the challenges posed by a changing Covid-19 picture.
The entry: North West Nightingale NHS Hospital Trust – Interserve Group
The story: A service company delivered a total facilities management contract in 12-days to ensure the safe running of the hospital.
The entry: Nightingale Hospital London – ISS
The story: A team was brought in to provide FM services to support the new field hospital being built at the ExCel.
The entry: Clatterbridge Cancer Centre – ISS Healthcare
The story: A New Cancer Care Centre was commissioned, delivering soft FM services in record time.
The entry: NHS Property Services
The story: Asset management, construction and FM teams worked collaboratively in record time to repurpose space to provide urgent additional hospital bed capacity
