JR&Co has renewed its cleaning contract with the London Borough of Merton to carry out works at educational premises.
The cleaning operative has held the deal with the borough’s Children, Schools and Families Department since 2009.
The company has retendered twice during the contract term and this extension will take its partnership with the borough to 13 years.
Its staff carry out works at 37 educational buildings, led by a dedicated contract management team headed by senior operations manager Sue Parker.
When the firm took on the contract, several of the schools were affected by norovirus and it said that because of its meticulous processes and procedures and regular touchpoint cleaning there have been no outbreaks in 11 years.
“Touchpoint cleaning has long been in our psyche and has been fundamental in keeping the spaces we clean free from Covid-19 occurrences throughout the pandemic.”
