Security services provider Wilson James has bought The Security Group (TSG) as part of its long-term strategy to provide clients with holistic solutions to their security and guarding needs.
The purchase allows Wilson James to meet clients’ growing demand for information-led solutions to address security challenges in a range of sectors.
Customers will benefit from advanced technology through a new Technology Services business unit.
About 200 TSG employees will transfer to Wilson James under TUPE rules. TSG’s client base is primarily in the South East and includes both public and private sector organisations.
TSG’s existing guarding operations will be managed by Barry Dawson, and the technology sector will be run by James Bauer-Mein, who will report to Gemma Quirke, the newly appointed chief operating officer at Wilson James.
Bauer-Mein said: “The strategic plans for the new Wilson James Technology Services department align perfectly with ours. This acquisition will enable the latest security technologies and design that TSG specialise in, to be unified with Wilson James’s exemplary standing in the security industry.”
