Penguin FM has renewed its contract with Provenance Inns & Hotels to deliver full facilities management at the group’s seven inns and hotels in North Yorkshire.
The 12-month extension was awarded after completion of a previous contract that culminated in Penguin supporting the hotel group with a safe reopening across all of its venues in July 2020.
The company portfolio comprises The Carpenters Arms in Felixkirk, The Oak Tree in Helperby, The Punch Bowl in Marton-cum-Grafton, The Crown & Cushion in Welburn, and The Black Bull in Moulton.
Following the Covid-19-driven closure of all seven inns and hotels from March to July, when the government allowed hospitality venues to reopen, Penguin FM supported the group with safety, compliance and upgrade projects, including 40 additional jobs, which were all scheduled and delivered within two weeks.
Steve Foster, maintenance manager at Provenance Inns, said: “When we got the go-ahead from the government to reopen, the team at Penguin sprang into action and delivered a number of project works to enable all our venues to safely reopen, from refurbishment works to servicing and upgrades to our internal infrastructure.”
Edward Wick, director at Penguin FM said: “We’re really pleased that we could react quickly to support the group with everything required for their all-important reopening.”
