Jayne Matthews is the new operations manager – AM Services Group
Commercial cleaning provider AM Services Group has appointed Jayne Matthews as operations manager to expand its business into other areas of facilities management.
Matthews will report to operations director Neil Cooper. The pair worked together for several years at Gather & Gather, where her most recent role was as head of operations for the North.
She said: “After 20 years of working in hospitality for large corporates, it’s time for the new challenge.
“I am looking forward to helping to grow the business in other areas of facilities management and supporting learning and development opportunities and strong career paths. I am keen to support data-driven strategy, to work with local charities, and to encourage apprenticeships for less privileged people.”
Cooper added: “We are looking forward to Jayne contributing to our continued drive towards sustainable business goals. Her experience includes supporting the Mitie Foundation social enterprise, taking 15 people from hard-to-reach backgrounds on work placements across her restaurants. She ensures that her teams are able to give full support to client charities, develops initiatives with customers to reduce environmental impact and focuses on a sustainable supply chain to deliver added value.”
At Gather & Gather, Matthews was responsible for the relationship management of key clients covering corporate offices and high street operations in the region. She managed the world’s first Central Perk Café – inspired by the Friends TV series – in Primark in Manchester under licence from Warner Bros.
She also combined innovation with a strong financial performance at the new Bupa headquarters in Salford Quays by introducing Almost Famous burgers – marketing this through a launch event with the Almost Famous Wonder Truck restaurant on wheels.
