Unify by Bruntwood, an FM venture launched last year by the Bruntwood Group, has been awarded a contract to supply cleaning services at Liverpool Science Park.
The contract, which begins this month, involves the delivery of facilities services to common spaces, office and laboratory spaces across all three of the science park’s purpose-built innovation centres.
Liverpool Science Park, based in the city’s Knowledge Quarter, covers 120,000 square feet and is home to more than 60 innovative STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths) organisations. The hub is driving economic growth in the region with a community of innovators, creators and pioneers.
Unify has been selected as a partner to maintain spaces and ensure a safe, hygienic environment to help its customers to continue their groundbreaking work. The firm will undertake cleaning across the buildings’ shared spaces and common areas. In addition, Unify will provide daily cleaning at the suites of the park’s serviced office customers.
Unify was launched by the Bruntwood Group in 2020 to offer a fresh approach to FM, and maintain spaces that enable people and business to thrive, providing customers with flexible, exceptional, ethical services.
Having secured 30 new contracts worth over £8 million in revenue in its first six months of trading, Unify’s 350-strong in-house team now delivers cleaning services at more than 1,000,000 square feet of property in total. When combined with its window cleaning, specialist and technical services, Unify services a complete portfolio of more than 5,000,000 sq ft within commercial and public sector offices, retail, healthcare, industrial and logistical environments.
Simon Durbin, director for soft services at Unify, said: “As a new market entrant, to be awarded a contract of this calibre demonstrates that businesses are increasingly placing greater emphasis on service quality, which we’re able to demonstrate through the experience and specialisms of those within our team.
“By showcasing our skills and experience, and supporting Liverpool Science Park to provide safe, clean environments to its customers, we anticipate becoming integral to its success which will also be a fantastic opportunity for our own growth within Liverpool City Region.”
George Barclay, Liverpool Science Park’s operations manager, said: “Having Unify on board to provide our cleaning services gives us the reassurance that our estate will have exceptional levels of hygiene and cleanliness, something that is essential both during the current pandemic and beyond.”
