M&E specialist Linaker has been awarded a multimillion-pound contract by Liverpool ONE to manage planned preventive maintenance and reactive works across the 42.5-acre retail centre.
The three-year contract, won through a competitive tender, will begin on 1 March and will see Linaker deploy a 17-man team, including the account manager and apprentices.
The shopping, residential, and leisure complex next to the waterfront in Liverpool city centre, which includes a Green Flag-accredited five-acre park, has more than 170 stores, bars and restaurants, an 18-screen cinema and an indoor adventure golf course. It spans five historic areas right in the heart of the city including Paradise Street and Hanover Street.
The company said this “strong new partnership would deliver best-in-class mobilisation, especially in light of Covid-19. Claire Curran, Linaker’s managing director said the contract would be managed from its Liverpool office and delivered by local, hand-selected engineers. “From QR coding and unique life cycle management to enhanced engineering, we’re confident we will develop and execute a leading operation for Liverpool ONE,” she added.
Martin Sutton, technical director at Liverpool ONE, added: “With Linaker’s diverse client portfolio and proven service delivery, we… welcome them as one of our trusted partners and we look forward to building a long-term relationship with them over the coming years.”
