Signum FM has been appointed as facilities manager by Doncaster-based heavy lifting solutions group Certex to provide reactive and planned maintenance.
Signum, also headquartered in Doncaster, works with more than 50 organisations across the UK.
Certex offers a full solution for lifting products and services. It provides steel wire rope, lifting equipment and services to clients in the industrial, oil and gas, renewable energy and elevator markets in addition to training, inspection, testing and repair and maintenance services. The company has sites across the UK.
Patrick Cummins, Certex’s divisional manager, explained: “We’ve used facilities management companies in the past but not always got the results we were looking for so I was keen to find a local organisation who could be responsive and deliver what we needed.
“We came across Signum and were pleased with their approach and costings so appointed them earlier this year to deliver full reactive and planned maintenance such as legionella checks, fire alarm checks, building inspection, emergency lighting checks, heating and boiler inspections and lift inspections.”
Jill Wood, managing director at Signum FM, said: “We aim to take care of all essential maintenance so that the company can run smoothly and focus on what they do best in the lifting equipment sector.”
