Wates FM, a division of Wates Group, has secured three multi-service contracts in the legal, property management and global commercial real estate sectors.

Avison Young, the global commercial real estate firm, has retained Wates FM to provide mechanical and electrical (M&E), water and fire services, and maintenance at three new UK sites, in addition to the four already managed by Wates FM.

Capco, a property management company and owner of the Covent Garden Estate in London, is also maintaining its partnership with Wates, having first appointed the FM operator as M&E specialist during phase two of the development of Lillie Square – a residential development in Fulham. Under this deal, Wates will carry out M&E works and maintenance in the buildings’ communal areas.

The provider has also taken a three-year deal with Midlands-based law firm Higgs and Sons. Works involve M&E, fabric building services and reactive repairs at the firm’s Brierley Hill office. The contract will be delivered through a combination of regular site visits and mobile engineers.

James Gregg, Wates FM’s managing director, said: “After the challenges of 2020, being able to begin 2021 with three new contracts with three great partners has been the best possible start.

“Over the past 12 months, Wates FM has demonstrated how we have been able to continue to deliver top-quality facilities management services in a Covid-secure environment, helping our customers to provide safe premises for their people. Our teams have shown agility and adaptability throughout, and with signs of a gradual return to offices, we’re looking forward to working collaboratively with our partners as they prepare for what we hope will be a return to a more settled period in the workplace.”

Wates FM manages more than 320 commercial properties, delivering services including mechanical and electrical and building fabric maintenance through site-based and mobile teams as well as statutory compliance and soft FM such as cleaning, security, catering, porterage, front-of-house, help desks and CAFM services.
