ICTS UK & Ireland has extended its security contracts with Epsom & St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust in Surrey and Croydon Health Services NHS Trust in South London.
The ICTS security teams are responsible for all security functions, including the management of the hospitals’ security control rooms.
The security services contract at Epsom & St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust has been under ICTS’s management since January 2015 and before that from 2005 to 2011. The company added Croydon Health Services NHS Trust to its healthcare portfolio in March last year.
Ashley Fernandes, executive director of ICTS UK & Ireland’s Corporate Security Services division, said the company had “held a long-standing service partner relationship with Epsom & St Helier, and then having had the last year to build a trusted partnership with Croydon”.
He added: “This not only demonstrates our commitment and flexibility as a business within the NHS environment, especially during the pandemic but further recognises the valuable work of our specialist frontline management and staff.”
Emma Norris, the facilities manager/local security management specialist at Epsom & St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust, said: “The security staff are such an important part of the trust at Epsom and St Helier, and the team really pride themselves in providing a customer-focused service. We are very happy to be continuing our partnership with ICTS and look forward to the challenges ahead!”
Stephen Lamley, trust security manager at Croydon Health Services NHS Trust, added: “We are fortunate to work with a close-knit, dedicated security team that plays a significant role in keeping the trust safe and secure. We look forward to continuing our partnership with ICTS as we slowly emerge from the pandemic.”
On 1 April, ICTS UK & Ireland also started a new contract providing security services to the Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust. The trust has more than 5,000 staff, and provides community health, mental health and learning disability services to 1.3 million people across Bedfordshire, Essex and Suffolk.
On the same date, the provider began a contract to supply security services to Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust at Wycombe and Amersham Hospitals. Under the contract, ICTS is carrying out services including crime prevention, patrols, incident investigation and support as well as providing security advice to the trust’s management.
