Portfolio, Churchill Group’s high-specification cleaning service, has won a three-year cleaning contract with the Institute of Directors (IoD) – to be mobilised when the organisation reopens after the Covid-19 pandemic.
The IoD is the UK’s oldest organisation for professional leaders, founded in 1903 and incorporated by Royal Charter in 1906. Its headquarters building, 116 Pall Mall, is a grade I listed five-storey Georgian building in the heart of London.
The IoD runs hundreds of corporate occasions, private events, and weddings each year. The building features many magnificent original features, and Portfolio says its period charm will be enhanced by the company’s cleaning services.
Churchill will deploy its digital platform Mo:dus’s sensor technology to drive cleaning schedules, with QR codes being used to manage desk sanitisation. Using Portfolio’s workplace hygiene programme PRISM, the IoD will be able to monitor bacteria within the building and use data to adapt cleaning processes to create the most hygienic environments.
Portfolio says that “the science-led approach will give people confidence that the IoD will continue to create fantastic environments for businesses to meet, network, and thrive”.
Antony Law, managing director at Portfolio, added: “It’s a privilege to work in such an iconic building and with an organisation that has such a rich history. PRISM will give staff and occupants confidence that their workplace is both hygienic and safe, something extremely important in a post-Covid world. We take great pleasure in working with businesses that share our values and look forward to driving social value and diversity with the IoD. This project will require us to think innovatively, whilst operating both quickly and flexibly. ”
Adam Overton, the IoD’s head of facilities, said: “Portfolio was our partner of choice due to their leading approach to the utilisation of technology within the cleaning sector.”
