IPM Group has struck a new multi-year deal with Rotherham United Football Club, becoming the club’s stadium FM partner.
The Sheffield-based multi-service provider will assume several responsibilities at the AESSEAL New York Stadium in Rotherham, South Yorkshire, and its branding will feature on all three of ‘The Millers’ shirts during the 2021/2022 football season. The deal includes an option to extend the front-of-shirt agreement beyond the current season.
Alongside the marquee shirt sponsorship agreement, IPM Group will be active in the match day and day-to-day operations of the club, serving as the club’s primary partner for stadium management, which involves cleaning, maintenance stewarding, and CCTV security monitoring.
The company said: “Our IPM Group logo will be displayed on the club’s home strip for the 2021/2022 season, following its summer release. Whilst our innovative access management sub-brand – inteliPod, will take pride of place on the change and alternate shirts throughout the forthcoming Sky Bet League One Season.
“As a result of our directors and senior management being avid football supporters, and our subsequent understanding of the importance of club colours, it has been agreed that despite two different logos featuring on both home and ‘change’ shirts, as per the 2020/21 season the Millers will be able to continue to wear their red-and-white kit on the road where appropriate.”
The company said the club’s philosophy of providing equal opportunities for all within the region is key to the partnership and aligned with its “ethos of supporting locals and creating jobs within our community”.
