Horiba MIRA, the global independent vehicle engineering consultant, has selected Pareto FM to supply total FM services at its 850-acre estate in Nuneaton and its Basildon facility.
Under the contract, Pareto FM will deliver TFM services including management, mechanical and electrical compliance, security and other works.
The client provides automotive engineering, research and test services, and has over 75 years of experience in developing some of the world’s most well-known vehicles. Collaborating with vehicle manufacturers and suppliers around the world, it offers comprehensive support ranging from technology development and product tests to full vehicle design, development and build programmes.
Although it is noted for its vehicle test services – including more than 40 large facilities and 100km of proving ground – Horiba MIRA has over the past 10 years invested in the evolution of its engineering capability and developing MIRA Technology Park, Europe’s leading mobility R&D location for developing automotive technology. Its combination of engineering expertise, advanced testing facilities and prime location of MIRA Technology Park in the centre of the UK’s automotive industry, enables customers to develop and validate their technology, or vehicle, in one place.
Julie Timson, head of procurement at Horiba MIRA, said: “We went to market looking to upgrade our approach to facilities management. It was important to run a professional, detailed and in-depth process to ensure the best outcome. In Pareto, we found a partner that took the time to fully understand what we required and worked with us to build a model in an entirely new way. Pareto have been engaging, interested and innovative throughout the mobilisation process and we can already see the impact the changes have made. We have incredibly high standards in addition to our strict security protocols so required a partner that was able to operate around our unique needs.”
Andrew Hulbert, managing director of Pareto FM, added: “When we first saw the Horiba MIRA facility in Nuneaton we knew this was the opportunity to build a unique model to support this world-leading organisation. From the outset, we worked with Horiba MIRA to truly bespoke our offering and offer the opportunity to create an entirely new way of managing FM on site. We have hit the ground running and can’t wait to see how the relationship develops and grows over time.”
