Sharp NEC Display Solutions Europe has launched the NEC MultiSync® WD551, a Microsoft Windows collaboration display that provides an integrated smart solution for modern meeting spaces. The WD551 is a room peripheral certified for Microsoft Teams and designed to support maximum flexibility in hybrid working practices, enabling Bring Your Own Meeting (BYOM) scenarios. Users connect their own device via the display’s secure USB-C cable to share content and start video meetings. By connecting a PC using familiar Microsoft tools such as Microsoft 365 and Teams, the WD551 delivers frictionless meeting experiences, with instant access whether participants are in-room or remote. Two 65W USB-C inputs enable seamless switching between two users while both connected devices receive a power supply.

The Engage app, developed and delivered by employee benefits and outsourced payroll provider HIVE360, reveals use of its confidential employee mental health support services has risen by 155 per cent since May. Physical wellbeing is also high on the support employees are seeking, with the data showing a 220 per cent hike in demand for health and fitness advice, and the number of users accessing gym discounts via the app up by 246 per cent. HIVE360’s mobile, customisable engagement app and platform Engage gives employees access to an extensive range of health and wellbeing benefits and employee support services, including 24/7, confidential access to mental health support, counsellors and GPs, a real-time workplace pension dashboard to support employees’ financial wellbeing, and thousands of high street and online discounts.

BonCulina UK has launched BonCulina Anywhere, its online home-delivery food platform that enables companies to extend corporate catering beyond their sites. The service is also available to consumers who want to enjoy nutritious frozen restaurant-quality meals from the comfort of their own home. The new initiative complements BonCulina Smart Restaurant, a zero-subsidy business and industry catering solution which launched earlier this year as a response to the current challenging business landscape, as well as BonCulina Anytime, a hot food vending service offering meals and snacks on-site around the clock. The platform launches with a range of 38 high-quality delicious frozen meals which have been developed and prepared by professional chefs. BonCulina is planning to extend its initial range and complement it with frozen snacks. Each meal is cooked straight from frozen, and a diverse range of main meals and vegetarian options are available such as chickpea balti, beef lasagne, roast chicken and chicken tikka masala.

PPDS has launched its Air Quality Sensor – an air quality monitoring solution to help businesses create healthier and more productive working environments, using Philips professional TVs, interactive displays and digital signage solutions. Connected and powered by a single USB-A cable and compatible with PPDS’ latest Philips Professional TVs,

digital signage and interactive displays – including T-Line, C-Line, B-Line and Q-Line – the PPDS Air Quality Sensor ‘plug and play’ solution features four advanced sensors, which monitor air quality 24/7. The four sensors measure room temperature, humidity, carbon dioxide and particulate matter, all of which can have a major impact on people’s health and wellbeing.

Recycling company Paper Round has launched SustainABLE Box, a self-assembled box that captures hard to recycle items that are misplaced in mixed recycling. It is available to businesses in London, Brighton and Sussex and will provide them with a new recycling solution for these materials. Paper Round says plastics collected as part of the service such as film, crisp packets, snack wrappers, and stationery will be transformed into a weatherproof recyclable alternative to plywood, which is available to buy back for use at the workplace or in construction.

UV air and surface disinfection technology manufacturer JenAct has launched its new Torpedo® Quad UV Air Disinfection unit. The system keeps ducted air conditioning systems 99.99 per cent SARS-CoV-2 free and operational making it easier and safer for employees to reoccupy premises. UVC has been proven to be effective at disinfecting airborne viruses. Designed to fit into HVAC systems and existing ducting, the Quad is positioned with brackets in line with the air stream to maximise the contact time of contaminants with the UV energy. It cleans the air as it flows past the UVC lamps.

With four high output UVC lamps mounted on a custom-designed polished aluminium reflector, JenAct’s new Quad UV air disinfection system offers the maximum UV output per linear centimetre of the company’s Torpedo range. Typical bulb life is one year.
