Norse Group has extended its contract with Waltham Forest Council through to 2027, providing professional consultancy services to support the council’s investment programme and public service strategy.
The deal includes helping the local authority to deliver its five-year £500 million capital investment strategy to create new homes and maintaining council housing, as well as expanding schools and a wide range of vital local infrastructure to support economic growth and regeneration.
Amy Leader, Norse`s partnership director, said: “Over the past 14 years, we have achieved an enormous amount together, supporting the community and helping to deliver some incredible projects, which have had a transformative impact on the local area.
“Now is also the perfect time for us to reset our partnership and focus on the future, as we seek to continue to support the borough with its strategic priorities going forward – including exciting plans for a 15-minute neighbourhood and addressing the climate emergency.”
Councillor Simon Miller, the council’s cabinet member for economic growth and housing development, added: “We have worked together on a number of innovative projects that have brought major benefits to the area, such as the work to transform garage sites into good quality affordable housing, and turning council-owned, seemingly impracticable small parcels of land into new homes for local families.”
