Novus streamlines services to achieve five-year growth plan

Michelle Owen, non-executive chair of Novus Property Solutions and CEO Steve Davies – Novus Property Solutions

Novus Property Solutions has launched its streamlined market offering, under which the company will classify its existing workstreams under three services: maintain, assure and projects.

The services form part of a plan to reprioritise services and reposition the company, led by CEO Steve Davies, who joined Novus last month.

The newly defined workstreams will be instrumental in achieving Novus’s long-term growth ambitions and allow it to shift to a partnership-based approach across all services, increasing its client base while maintaining service delivery.

The company said it remains focused on ‘bringing a personal touch” to each project – building on a legacy that is embedded in its commitment to being “a national business built on family values”.

Novus said it had implemented its streamlined services in response to market feedback, and the company will develop its existing teams in line with its plans to expand the business. Alongside its growth targets over the next five years, the contractor will follow its mantra – Maintain, Assure, Projects.

The Maintain service will focus on the company’s core activity of property maintenance and refurbishment – mainly within the housing sector.

The Assure service brings together capabilities across a range of compliance areas and will provide a full spectrum of passive fire protection, electrical and gas testing – including remedial works.

The Projects service will consolidate the company’s new-build and refurbishment offerings, working with clients in the leisure, retail, education, healthcare and housing sectors across the Midlands and North West.

Davies said: “The maintenance and construction markets are rapidly evolving, and we recognise that now is the perfect opportunity to better align our operations with market demands. By streamlining our services and offering dedicated delivery teams, we will be able to grow our client base through a longer-term and partnership-based approach while also retaining our existing clients by continuing to provide the excellent levels of customer service we’re known for.

“To achieve our five-year growth plan, we need to remain at the forefront of our industry, and the streamlining of our services is the first step towards our ultimate goal of becoming the leading contractor of choice in our industry.”

Last month  Novus Property Solutions’ Scotland region was awarded a planned and reactive maintenance contract with Home Group, worth £44 million.

Novus will carry out a range of planned and reactive maintenance works on about 4,000 properties across Scotland over six years, with the option to extend the contract for a further four years. It will also include the provision of compliance works on properties within the region.
