Equans has secured positions on all three lots of the East Shires Purchasing Organisation’s (ESPO) Total Facilities Management Framework (676).
ESPO provides its local authority members with access to a wide range of FM services divided into three lots, based on contract value. Equans has been approved for all three lots, with contract values up to £1 million and rising up to £5 million-plus.
Equans said these awards acknowledge “the company’s experience and proven ability to add value for customers”. The recently formed structure, which draws together Engie’s services-led activity, will undertake services including maintenance, cleaning, compliance and security, electrical works, along with hard and soft FM services.
The ESPO framework is run by six local authorities – Cambridgeshire County Council, Leicestershire County Council, Lincolnshire County Council, Norfolk County Council, Peterborough City Council, and Warwickshire County Council – and gives public sector bodies access to pre-approved service providers to help them achieve the best value for money when buying goods and services.
Craig Butt, Equans’ managing director of corporate, said: “Our inclusion on this ESPO framework is clear validation of our proven ability to deliver smarter FM through integration of FM services. Our work with local authorities helps them to optimise their buildings and operations whilst also creating sustainable environments and we look forward to working in the same way with ESPO customers.”
By sourcing their pre-approved FM providers through ESPO, public sector bodies will not need to undertake long and costly procurement processes as all necessary public procurement formalities have already been carried out. They are able to approach nominated service providers to invite quotations and instigate any selection procedures appropriate.
