The new director of cleaning at Mitie plans to launch an initiative in the autumn that will “help our customers, as well as our cleaning colleagues, to understand more about how our technology solutions work and how to determine which is the right tool for a site”.
Lorraine Davis, director of cleaning at Mitie, said she wanted cleaning operatives to be more comprehensively trained in using technology – which is why a cleaning innovation centre would be launched.
Davis said: “Technology cannot work in isolation so it’s also essential that our teams have the right skills. We’ve committed to offering our colleagues more accredited cleaning and supervisory training opportunities as well as additional guidance on cleaning best practices.
"This will ensure that our cleaning operatives can continue maintaining high cleaning standards across all of our customers’ sites, and also provide more opportunities for our people to progress their careers."
