Smart buildings specialist Johnson Controls has acquired Fisher Group, the Glasgow-based HVAC installation and service provider.
The acquisition, which includes Fisher Group Ltd and Fisher Group Services, will enable Johnson Controls to integrate a new team of engineers to accelerate its growth plans in Scotland, providing customers with access to its HVAC products and services.
The company said that Fisher Group’s high level of knowledge in supplying HVAC solutions to commercial and industrial markets, the acquisition also enhances its full HVAC offering across multiple customer sectors.
Johnson Controls offers a portfolio of HVAC equipment and controls around the world. The takeover of Fisher Group will enable Johnson Controls to diversify that portfolio across Fisher Group’s strong connections with the petrochemical, healthcare, education, facilities management, and commercial sectors. It will also draw on Fisher Group’s expertise in the design and installation of air conditioning for commercial and industrial markets.
Fisher Group will form part of Johnson Control’s UK North Commercial HVAC installation and service business, reporting into Lee Tindall, Johnson Control’s National HVAC installations manager. The Fisher Group name will be retained for now. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
