Waste management and recycling services firm Reconomy has been made official waste partner for the 10th year running by Premier League club Wolverhampton Wanderers FC for the 2021/22 season.

Telford-based Reconomy’s relationship with Wolves goes back to 2002 when it first sponsored an executive box at the ground. In the 2013/14 season, Reconomy’s logo also featured on the Wolves players’ strip. This year, the company will continue to partner the club and share the hospitality experience with nationwide clients during the season.

Kieron Ansell, the club’s partnerships sales manager, said: “As a football club, we’re proud of our roots, so to continue a long-standing partnership with a local company is fantastic. For many years we’ve worked alongside Reconomy, they’re a very professional company, and each year the relationship goes from strength to strength, so I expect this season’s partnership will be beneficial to both parties.”

Paul Cox, Reconomy CEO, added: “Our relationship with Wolves is extremely important to us – both commercially, as official waste partner to the club, and to me personally as a Wolves’ supporter. Wolves continue to be one of the fastest-growing brands in world football, which we are immensely proud to be associated with, especially as we also continue to grow our own global brand.”

The Reconomy Group is expanding its breadth of services to cover all aspects of the circular economy across the globe and has offices in the UK, Europe and worldwide for its waste services, environmental compliance, and sustainable e-commerce product returns. It coordinates and manages at least 3,000,000 tonnes of waste annually in the UK.
