Multidisciplinary FM provider Ecoserv Group has formed a dedicated sustainability team to fortify its environmental, social and community goals.
The company, which rebranded in August, has pledged to reach a net zero impact on climate and is now devising a sustainability strategy to be launched over the next few months.
The new team, based at Ecoserv Group’s headquarters in Wallingford, Oxfordshire, is to be led by Sally-Ann van Blerk, group sustainability and brand director, and will be tasked with implementing the sustainability strategy and tracking its progress in line with science-based objectives. It will work with clients and suppliers to disseminate the latest best practices in the industry.
The group aims to introduce waste management provision as part of its drive to develop a wider range of FM services. The sustainability team will be charged with selecting likely partners who meet strict sustainability standards, and engaging with clients to work on their particular requirements.
Mark McMullen, Ecoserv’s chief commercial officer, said that the plan would ensure that sustainability is embedded into everything the group does to accelerate its journey towards net zero and define industry best practice.
