SPIE UK has secured a new contract with civil engineering company McLaughlin and Harvey to build the Allander Leisure and Day Care Centre in East Dunbartonshire, Scotland.
The firm will carry out mechanical and electrical work and plumbing infrastructure at the new-build leisure complex plus a separate energy centre, for East Dunbartonshire Council.
As McLaughlin and Harvey’s supply chain partner for over six years, SPIE UK will be completing a full mechanical design, including electrical and plumbing installations for the day care centre. The site in Milngavie, East Dunbartonshire, is directly next to the existing live centre and new housing estate, so the team has had to plan to overcome logistical challenges during the 44-week contract.
Callum Haining, Operations Manager, at McLaughlin and Harvey, said: “The latest contract marks a six-year working relationship with SPIE UK, a tried-and-true testament to the quality of the organisation’s work. We’re confident that SPIE will meet our expectations and those of the council. Given their extensive expertise in the market, we look forward to seeing the final results.”
