The UKGBC has launched a survey inviting the industry to provide feedback on proposals for its Social Value Delivery Guidance.
The UKGBC said it is working towards a piece of detailed work on social value delivery guidance that will enable built environment practitioners "to improve the quality of life of people by providing step-by-step support through the social value delivery process". As part of the development of this report, UKGBC has launched a Social Value Survey to get feedback.
The survey is split into two sections. The first section invites comments and feedback on the process for delivering social value, a key element of the Framework for Defining Social Value published in February 2021. The second section proposes potential options for the structure of a report that will offer detailed step-by-step guidance and seeks input on content.
The UKGBC said it is seeking feedback from built environment stakeholders "across the full value chain, and project lifecycle" including investors, developers, advisory services, contractors and their supply chain, and any users of buildings (owners, landlords, tenants). Feedback will be used to develop the first draft of the social value delivery guide and ascertain which elements require further exploration with this year’s Programme Partners.
