BAM FM has been awarded a three-year hard facilities management contract by London-based online homewares designer and retailer MADE.com (Made).
Under the contract, BAM FM will carry out mechanical and electrical and building fabric services at Made’s central logistics warehouse at DP World London Gateway Logistics Park in Stanford-le-Hope, Essex.
BAM FM will also supply management and maintenance of gas, water and air conditioning systems and other specialist services including lift maintenance.
Made, founded in 2010 by entrepreneurs Ning Li and Brent Hoberman, has doubled its onsite capacity at DP World London Gateway since last May with a 350,000 square foot warehouse expansion, enabling the company to house additional stock to reduce times to fulfil customer orders from across Europe.
Louise Williamson, BAM FM’s managing director, said: “Our role is to ensure that we become an integral part of the company’s supporting operations at London Gateway by providing high-quality planned and reactive hard FM services that are tailored to meet the specific needs of the recently expanded logistics centre… The services provided will be offered as a 24-hour service, 365 days of the year.”
