OCS Healthcare & Education has won a three-year contract to continue providing manned security and car parking services for York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
The service provider will continue to build and develop its partnership with the Trust, which began more than 10 years ago, delivering services that use the latest technologies to display real-time security guard activity and increase security guard protection and operational efficiencies.
OCS has encouraged staff to complete training and studies throughout their career, offering courses in mental health awareness, conflict resolution, suicide prevention and SIA training. Taking such an approach, it said, will ensure they have a multi-skilled and patient-focused team to serve the Trust.
Penny Gilyard, director of resources of YTHFM, said the contract will “allow both organisations to build upon the existing relationship and continue to deliver the best patient experience based on kindness, openness and excellence in patient care”.
