Wates Facilities Management (FM) has been reappointed to continue providing planned and reactive building maintenance services on four nationwide contracts.
The clients are Mercedes AMG High Performance Powertrains, a Formula One engine manufacturer owned by Mercedes-Benz, green energy network Smart DCC – a subsidiary of Capita plc, digital banking firm Think Money Group, and the West Midlands Police.
Wates is building on its relationships with these companies, some of which span more than eight years, and will undertake a full range of FM services across more than 100 sites on contracts ranging from one to five years. Services will consist of both hard and soft FM solutions, including mechanical and electrical works, landscaping, pest control, plumbing, fabric, cleaning and waste and security.
The company will guarantee energy and carbon emission optimisation by reducing plastic and cardboard waste. Alongside this, a reduction in transport will be applied wherever possible, with maintenance enlisted as and when required.
Included in the contracts is a new deal with Mercedes AG (HPP), with which Wates has been working for 14 years to provide PPM on a year-on-year basis. Under the renewal Wates FM is appointed for another three years with the option to extend for another five.
Another contract renewal will see Wates FM provide total facilities management to Smart DCC across its estate, adding to an existing four-year contract to service the business’s Manchester and Nottingham sites.
James Gregg, managing director, Wates FM, said: “We position ourselves as much more than FM providers; we believe in working in partnership to provide a service that interrogates our clients’ needs and enhances their operations. Extending our work for existing clients is evidence that our service consistently goes above and beyond and shows the focus we put on how we work as well as what we do. We’re thrilled to have been contracted to not just one but four FM contracts and will provide our comprehensive service to all of these businesses.”
Wates FM currently manages at least 350 commercial properties, delivering services including statutory compliance, mechanical and electrical, building fabric maintenance, help desks and computer-aided facilities management (CAFM), as well as cleaning, security, catering, porterage and front-of-house through both site-based and mobile teams.
