Tracy Burtwell has been appointed as the new managing director at facilities management provider phs Compliance.
Caerphilly-based phs Compliance, part of the phs Group, works with more than 35,000 business sites across the UK, carrying out statutory electrical operations including testing (PAT tests and fixed electrical testing), fire safety testing, inspection, maintenance, remedial work and EV services. It also provides specialist electrical and mechanical project services, from design and supply and installation of utilities from power to lighting.
Burtwell has more than 12 years of experience in the service industry and a track record in transforming businesses to secure long-term growth.
She was previously sales director for a leading data provider in the legal sector for four years. Before that, she was sales director of a leading recycling, renewable energy and waste management company, and vice-president for European sales in the commercial and retail divisions of a global electrical equipment installation and maintenance business.
Burtwell said: “I’m looking forward to bringing my global electrical expertise into the business and nurturing as much organic growth as possible.
“It’s a great time to be joining phs Compliance. Following a challenging time during the pandemic, when our teams were unable to enter buildings to carry out vital maintenance and testing services, the business has been flourishing as we get back out there and ensure our customers are compliant. We are also expanding into adjacent markets, including electric vehicle charging, as we continue to find ways to provide the best value and service to our customers.”
Former managing director Dan Lee has been promoted within the phs Group to group managing director, responsible for overseeing all phs specialist divisions.
