Vacant property services provider Orbis Protect has acquired Secure Site UK (SSUK), a specialist security solutions expert, to expand its service offering and supply new markets.
The acquiring company says that integrating SSUK will bolster its presence in key geographical areas and expand its service delivery reach on individual sites and markets.
Orbis Protect currently employs more than 600 staff across 25 UK locations, working with private and public sector clients. Services include a combination of manned guarding, security technology and monitoring of vulnerable assets for customers in a range of sectors. It also provides property management services including clearance, cleaning, infection control and pest management, running contact centre services and protecting more than 60,000 people with personalised alarm systems through its in-house alarm receiving centre.
SSUK carries out electronic surveillance, access management and perimeter security services for clients in the retail, automotive, leisure and construction fields.
Ben Howard, CEO of Orbis Protect, said: “This is the third acquisition for Orbis within the past two years following the acquisitions of Optosafe in 2020 and Veritas Property Management in 2022. This acquisition is fully aligned with our long-term strategy of growing our service offering within a wider customer base, delivering more technology-enabled solutions and ensuring that we maintain our position as the market leader for temporary security services within the UK.”
