Bellrock Property & Facilities Management has acquired Carbon Architecture, a carbon consulting and software analytics company that helps clients to reduce their environmental impact.
Founded in 2009, Carbon Architecture uses data analytics to enhance the information provided by existing building management systems, identifying energy consumption trends and developing AI and machine learning for solutions to help to predict future energy patterns and use.
Bellrock, a technology-enabled business operating in the property and facilities management services sector, stated that this acquisition was its first in the decarbonisation market and forms part of its strategy to partner with public and private sector customers on their routes to net zero.
Paul Bean, Bellrock CEO, said the company welcomed the Carbon Architecture team and its CEO, Will Todd.
“We will now have a deeper offering for our customers in assisting them on their journey to net zero. Carbon Architecture will establish a new division to lead our decarbonisation strategy and recognising the importance of this, Will Todd will report directly to me.”
Todd, who becomes managing director of Bellrock’s new Energy Consulting and Analytics division, added: “We needed to enable growth by offering our services to a wider audience – Bellrock offers a base of some 900 clients in our target sectors, a number of complementary services, and the size and credibility to underpin our mission while keeping everything about our business that makes us successful.”
