15 April 2019 | LIFTEX 2019

Are you up to speed with the latest safety standards? Is your equipment compliant with the latest regulations? LIFTEX 2019 is the essential destination to learn about safety and compliance, plus the latest innovations and technical advancements in the lift and escalator industry.

LIFTEX 2019 Show Director, Oliver Greening, explains: "Come and find out what the latest safety standards mean, network with thousands of like-minded professionals or find new suppliers, whatever the reason it will be time well spent out of the office."

Discover the latest products and services

Organised by LEIA, LIFTEX 2019 takes place only once every three years.  On offer are over 110 leading UK and international suppliers of lift products and services - some never been seen before at a UK event.

Find the answers

Running alongside the exhibition is a free seminar programme offering insights, advice and guidance on crucial issues from regulations to safety from industry experts.

Greening continues: "We have put together the seminar programme to help you ensure your lifts are properly maintained and comply with the latest regulations. There is also an opportunity for you to ask for advice and solve your problems in the LEIA Advice Centre, plus keep up to date with training to help keep you and your equipment safe."

Seminar topics include:

Escalators: Essential knowledge for duty holders

A number of topics important to the safety of existing escalators will be covered: effective maintenance, a regime of thorough examination, and guidance on modernising to improve safety. - Dave Cooper, Managing Director, LECS UK

Lifts for Evacuation Use: key considerations for building design and modernisation planning

Evacuation of people with disability or impaired mobility should now be at the forefront of building design and modernisation planning. In this session the use of lifts for evacuation and the relevant guidance will be explored. -Matt Ryan, Associate Director, The Fire Surgery Limited

Goods lifts and the secret life of buildings

Moving materials in and out of buildings is critical to their operation. But how often do we think about this vital provision? This session will highlight the key considerations in planning and managing the use of lifts to move goods around buildings. - Len Halsey, Canary Wharf Contractors, Chairman, CIBSE Lifts Group

Survival guide for lift managers and duty holders

Various regulations put obligations on 'owners' of lifts, lifting platforms, escalators and moving walks - responsibilities often delegated to FMs. - Nick Mellor, Managing Director, LEIA

LIFTEX 2019 is free to attend and runs from 15 - 16th May 2019 at London's ExCeL. Register for a free ticket at www.liftex2019.com
