We’ll get through this together
I hope this issue of Facilitate finds you, your loved ones and your colleagues safe and well. By the time you read this, the coronavirus pandemic is likely to have developed further, bringing with it added uncertainty and anxiety.
In a very short time, we, like all of you, found ourselves adapting to sudden change. First, we postponed IWFM Conference 2020 until 25 September; immediately after that, we closed head office until at least the end of March, which echoed the government’s subsequently announced guidance.
Thanks to extensive preparations that have allowed us to immediately and seamlessly transition the whole team to remote working, we are fully operational and very much open for business to tend to your learning and career development needs.
But we are also here to support you through this crisis. As workplace and facilities managers, you are among
the principle agents for managing an organisation’s response to issues like the coronavirus. It is therefore critical that you have the resources available to carry out your role to the best of your ability.
If you visit our website, you will find a web page dedicated to coronavirus guidance and resources – developed in collaboration with IWFM’s Risk and Business Continuity Management SIG. We will update the web page regularly, but you can also contact us with any questions or comments you may have. Details are available on the page. We hope you will find it useful.
Keep washing your hands, maintain social distancing where you can, stay safe, and we will get through this together.
