Global real estate adviser CBRE has been appointed by the Royal College of Physicians to build and provide facilities management for its new Northern base, a sister location to its current headquarters in Regent's Park.
The site will be in the Knowledge Quarter of Liverpool.
Founded in 1518 by a Royal Charter from King Henry VIII, the Royal College of Physicians (RCP) is the professional membership body for physicians, with more than 33,000 members and fellows both in the UK and across the globe.
Under the terms of the contract, CBRE will manage the fit-out of the second phase of the project - phase one being a temporary suite of offices and examination centre and phase two being the construction and fit-out of the long-term location for RCP North, a Clinical Centre of Excellence.
The Liverpool base will include a series of teaching and learning spaces, office accommodation, examination and assessment centres, museum and conference facilitates totalling up to 140,000 sq ft. The project is planned for completion in 2020.
CBRE GWS will also provide total FM for the site, covering mechanical and electrical services, cleaning, security and event logistics.
Emma Davies, executive director, CBRE, said: "With our local knowledge and comprehensive range of services, we look forward to providing a seamless project delivery and FM service in close collaboration with the client."
