Emcor UK has been awarded a new contract by Hampshire County Council to carry out comprehensive maintenance services at 620-plus buildings across West Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.
The five-year contract began on 1 August 2017, and includes an option to extend for a further five years.
The FM provider will be responsible for "a wide range of collaborative work", performing planned and reactive maintenance services on the council's diverse portfolio of properties including offices, schools, residential care and nursing care homes, museums, recreational centres, and fire and police stations.
The scope of the work includes all mechanical plant, electrical power distribution and lighting systems, catering equipment, water treatment, swimming pools, and fire and security systems.
To manage the complex property portfolio, Emcor UK will deploy its bespoke management application app for engineers to use on their mobile phones or tablets. The app is designed to ensure that communication, productivity, and the allocation of work to its mobile workforce is highly efficient. Emcor's team will use data collated from the app to continually improve performance and create efficiencies throughout the life of the contract.
Keith Chanter, CEO of Emcor UK, said: "We have had a productive and collaborative working relationship with Hampshire County Council for over 20 years and look forward to continuing to deliver outstanding customer service."
