A survey about how widely those within the facilities management industry are using building information modeling (BIM) has been launched.
The survey aims to identify the extent to which the operational phase of BIM has been adopted by the FM industry.
It also hopes to find out how BIM data is being used in the operation of built assets and what the barriers are to the industry successfully adopting BIM.
The research is being carried out as a part of independent research by Simon Francis, the head of estates at London Southbank University, as part of a master's degree programme in estates management he is undertaking at the university.
